Strategic Partners
LANSA is recognized as a leader in the development and solutions software market. Since its inception LANSA has had a close partnership with IBM and is currently an IBM Premier Business Partner. LANSA also participates in a number of strategic alliances with Microsoft - in addition to being invited to participate in Microsoft’s Platform Strategy Reviews, LANSA is a founding member of Microsoft’s Midrange Alliance Program, VSIP, PMA and other strategic Microsoft programs. And, with its LANSA Composer BPI tool, LANSA chose Altova as its partner by tightly integrating Altova’a MapForce® transformation tool into LANSA Composer.
LANSA and IBM Partnership
Since its inception LANSA has had a close partnership with IBM and is currently an IBM Premier Business Partner – making a significant investment in IBM products and technologies through a combination of platform integration, product support, certifications, solutions, revenue achievement, high customer satisfaction and joint marketing plans.
LANSA has always had very tight integration with the IBM i platform and its predecessors, System i, iSeries and AS/400. Over the last decade LANSA has worked closely with IBM to bring the same value to the IBM i and Linux platforms. LANSA and Microsoft Partnership
LANSA has developed a strong relationship with the Microsoft Corporation. Our customers, partners and the market in general, are recognizing Microsoft has a leader in IT. Microsoft technology has become ubiquitous in the market. The strong relationship with Microsoft allows both companies to deliver the best applications for their customers. The investments that Microsoft and LANSA are making together will lay a foundation for businesses to move to the next level of computing. Whether it be integrating with your current systems or redeploying them, the benefits of combining Microsoft software with LANSA’s, are endless.
At the foundation of LANSA’s strength is its meta data repository. Microsoft and LANSA continue to work together to integrate Microsoft’s .NET platform to the LANSA Repository. As a result leading edge technologies like LANSA Open for .NET are on the market. LANSA will continue to work with Microsoft in developing timely and reliably solutions for those in the market that want to create business applications for the Microsoft platform or interoperate with it.
LANSA participates in a number of strategic alliances with Microsoft. There are relatively very few companies that are invited to participate in Microsoft’s Platform Strategy Reviews - and LANSA is one. In addition to the reviews, LANSA is a founding member of Microsoft’s Midrange Alliance Program (MAP), and other strategic Microsoft programs.
Midrange Alliance Program (MAP)
MAP provides a roadmap for midrange computing environments, such as IBM's AS/400, iSeries, and Power System servers. The Midrange Alliance Program brings together experienced technology, service, and application partners like LANSA to help you extend, integrate, or move application workloads.
Visual Studio Industry Partner (VSIP)
Being a member of VSIP allows LANSA to get early previews of new products and insights on Microsoft developer and industry research. The Visual Studio Industry Partner (VSIP) program provides focused benefits for companies extending Visual Studio while the Microsoft Partner Program provides a wide range of benefits across the Microsoft technology stack.
The Platform Modernization Alliance (PMA)
The Platform Modernization Alliance (PMA) is a group of companies that are working together to help customers modernize their Mission Critical Enterprise workloads onto the Microsoft Application Platform. The Alliance represents a group of companies that have their interests aligned in making IT modernization easier and more efficient for customers. LANSA’s membership in PMA offers organizations operating in mixed mode environments – with enterprise applications on IBM i servers and a variety of Microsoft products around the edge – a software development platform that optimizes the interoperability of this mixed environment, making computer systems more agile. LANSA’s iFusion.net platform allows businesses to deliver composite applications utilizing their existing, and often “siloed,” programming resources from both their IBM i and Windows development teams. The new unified or “fused” applications present their users with a modern and intuitive interface that supports the way they really work, greatly improving productivity.
LANSA and Oracle Partnership
LANSA is an Oracle Gold Partner and has achieved validated integration with Oracle eBusiness Suite. In 2011 our GDS solution – LANSA Data Sync Direct Demand Side Version 6.6, achieved Oracle Validated Integration with Oracle Product Hub 12.1.
Oracle Validated Integration through the Oracle PartnerNetwork gives customers confidence that integrations between Oracle Applications (including Oracle Enterprise Manager) and complementary partner capabilities have been validated and the products work together as designed. This can help reduce risk, improve system implementation cycles, and provide for smoother upgrades and simpler maintenance. Oracle Validated Integration applies a rigorous technical process to review the integrations of third-party software to Oracle Applications products, including productized repeatable integrations from system integrators. Oracle provides access to Oracle Applications software, tools, technical resources and training to assist partners in developing integrations based on Oracle standards and best practices. Partners who have successfully validated their integrations are authorized to use the "Oracle Validated Integration" logo. LANSA and ALTOVA Partnership
In 2007, LANSA decided to enter the Business Process Integration marketplace with a new product called LANSA Composer – a design and execution platform for integrating business activities involving transport, data transformation and custom business processing.
A key component of this data transformation is the ability to visually map the required business information using a drag-and-drop interface to pictorially represent the transformation of the data between the different formats.
LANSA Composer does this by incorporating the MapForce® transformation tool from Altova as an integral part of the complete LANSA Composer solution.
Altova MapForce® is an award-winning any-to-any graphical data mapping, conversion and integration tool that maps data between any combination of XML, database, flat file, EDI (UN/EDIFACT and ANSI X12), Excel 2007+, XBRL and/or Web service, then transforms data instantly or auto-generates royalty-free data integration code for the execution of recurrent conversions.
